I volunteer at a railroad related museum that has a piece of equipment powered by a large gas inline 6 Continental engine, WWII vintage. I forget the exact displacement, but it's in the 570ci range. The updraft carb is shot, and I'm wondering where we can look for parts. Were the large Continentals used in Ag equipment? (I know my Farmall 350D has a Continental in it, but my diesel engine is tiny compared to this gas monster we're fixing.) We found one potential source for parts, but the proprieter is kinda grumpy and isn't inclined to search his parts bins and give quotes unless we guarantee we'll buy first.
