Mike: If your emblem is an oval about 4 inches long with a small threaded stud toward the top and bottom and attached to the front of the radiator cowl it is most likely a New Performance Major. Look for a serial number in 2 places: A. On the right hand front corner of the engine block at the intersection of block and head, a small flat boss about 3 and 1/2 inches long may have the number stamped on it. OR B. Look on the cast iron flange on the left side of the engine where the engine attaches to the transmission housing. On that flange, stamped vertically in old english script, will be the serial number. Let me know if you find the number and I'll tell you the year and month your tractor was produced.
