I went to a lawnmower pull today. One of my tractor friends that was there is an extreme stickler about lubricants and fuels and we were discussing this very subject. He buys his lubricants/fluids at Wal-Mart or Sam's Club.
I was talking to him about NAPA. He says that NAPA oil (which is what I usually buy) is the same as Valvoline and it doesn't get much better than Valvoline in his book.
Sounds like all the answers are in agreement so far.
