I guess we had the same idea. I was thinking as the sun rose the front of the rows would get sun, mid day entire field is in the sun and in the evening the rear of the field would get sun. I expected sun to travel the length of the rows.

I can see merit in you point I just had not given it that much thought. Planting N-S I will just need to do a little more planning to ensure I do not shade out some low crops with the taller crops. Thanks for exercising my noodle.
