I am not sure what your setup is, but you might check a couple of things out. I have an H with a loader and a distributor mount hydraulic pump. My outlet on the pump is piped to a double spool for my loader controls. The double spool both bypass's and relieves back to the 5 gallon tank. Dont know if you have an external tank, but I can look in mine and see the oil returning to the tank. I had to lower my relief on the spool (factory set at 2000psi) because it did leak around a couple of the pump bolts when the loader dead headed.. Lowered it 2 complete turns (not sure of psi now) and dead headed the loader and took care of the leak. Dont know if this relates to what you have happening, but just thought it might be something to look at.
