Another possibility is the transmission is caught in 2 gears at once. Happens frequently with these tractors when the lower end of the shift lever gets worn. Remove the shift lever (knock out the cross pin in the shifter tower then lift the lever out). Now look down into the shifter tower. For the transmission to be in neutral the slots on all 3 shift rails inside should be aligned and centered in the opening. If slots any are forward or back, use a big screwdriver to pry them back into center position. More likely however you problem is stuck brakes. You should be able to quickly free them up by unbolting and removing the outer covers. Then give each disk assembly a few smart raps with a brass hammer to break them free. Or go between each friction disc (there's two of them) and the mating brake surfaces with a chisel to separate them. Good luck - the Super M is a great tractor!!
