yea i dont think that they are bad quality pins altogethe, i just must have gotten the one that they made on a friday afternoon down there in india or wherever, its obviusly heat treated wrong, it doesnt apear to have any toughness to it, it didnt bend at all, just seemed to snap right off, and the fact that it chipped when struck with a hammer makes me think its way harder than it should be, i have 2 others of the same type from tsc and i just looked at them, and they can both be cut easily with a file, so they arnt as hard as this one. but i may steer clear of them just cause the quality control does seem to be a bit lacking, and they are a pretty critical thing realy
