There is a bit less energy in ethanol than
straight gas, but it also helps keep your fuel
system clean, the air cleaner, adds oxygen to
the combustion as well as a different more
stable explosion.

It's normal for the milage to drop a bit, but very
little.

It's possible if you have a lot of miles on your
vehicle & never ran ethanol or a can of cleaner
every now & then that this tankful flushed out
all the gum & varnish & plugged up your filter/
injectors.

Here in Minnesota, been running the 10%
ethanol blend for many years. It's been
mandated. Works fine. Really less problems
this way than 'straight' gas. Only a few have
problems that had dirty fuel systems to start
with. Kind of a bogus 'problem', since previous
dirty fuel is getting cleaned out of your system
- not the ethanol's fault!
