I have 2 Wk40's 1 with starter and the other had the place for a starter. Knowing what I was looking for, I found a starter on E-bay that looked like it would work. This starter was off a 450. It had the 3 bolt pattern and looked like the nose cone would work. It had the same number of teeth on the gear and bolted right up. Only problem the rotation was in the wrong direction. I took it to a starter-generator shop and they redid the whole starter using my nose cone and other parts of my old starter. I have another starter now and it cost me less than $100
