Hi Thurlow, Thanks but I didn't mean for you too run out and measure it pronto. I always enjoy hearing about others ideas as I'm sure others do also. I was currious if the design stayed with-in my 2/3 rule and it's close, 73%. I find alot of the 5th wheel and GN trailers using 70% to 75%. That would make them pull best. On my tag tri-axle I'm changing it too a reverse GN and was planning a 70% length. The trailer was used when I bought it and I didn't see any excessive tire scrub. I did a pull of a 14x75ft mobil home for 800miles one time and that was your pound of lead to pound of feather feeling for sure. Colorado used a 12ft roadway from center line to edge of pavement and hearing the snow reflectors hit the side of the MH was hard to get used too. Then it was alittle unnerving climbing two lane grades. On one grade a 6%, I sent my pilot car ahead to block traffic on top of the pass so I could use both lanes for the corners. I gave him specific instructions to use his vechile accross both lanes to stop traffic. He didn't think that was required so I'm doing a tight right hand corner and the back of my trailer is 12" from the right gaurd rail and my tractor was in the burm on the left side lane when I looked up and seen a 18 wheeler heading for me. My tractor was just center lane by now so I figured to keep going with my door open as I'm doing about 5mph in doubble lo-gear and thought if he hit my trailer it would be about a 500ft ride down a mountain. He see's me and hits his trailer brakes and pulls to the shoulder burm but forgets about the rock overhang and trailer sheet metal is flying off in every direction. As he slides past my cab I'm looking in my mirror watching my rear trailer top as he clears it by about 4". He never even stopped and neither did I. Ohhh the good times :) T_Bone

Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned. But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out. After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
