i have bought many tractors by making a downpayment with a personal check (usually 30 - 50% of selling price). balance in cash the day of the pickup(after the check has cleared the bank). but to have a good deal both people have to be happy. and you are right, alot of times i don't have enough money to purchase the tractor outright (not without shifting money from one account to another) so it helps me if a seller will wait till the end of the month for the cash balance. but clearly its their tractor they can control the deal. why does it cost you more than a $100 to sell a tractor? around here you place a free add and receive a dozen call the day its published.
