that truck should have a large bullet conector about six inches from the pos battert terminal. It may have come partialy disconected. That is common with dodges. If I remember right there is 2 or 3 fuse links on the end of the conector towards the body . Most likely it is the cconnector as the positive post shorting should not overload the fuse links. They may have been internaly broken from the pull. Remeber to always replace them with the proper gauge link and lenghth. If you dont sooner or later it may burn if an overload happens. Like every one said- start where there is power and test from there. Good luck!
