Most Model "A" Ford parts supplies have a single wire alt setup. They tell me that they are getting them to charge at low rpm. They also have a small pulley for the wide v belt. This helps speed up the alt and start it charging quicker. If you want it I have a diagram and parts list I used for a two wire setup on my Model "A" and a friends old IH. It is for a standard NAPA off the shelf alt. It will start charging just off idle. about 450-500 rpms for a Model"A" Also the web site below, a Model "A" supplier, has the single wire alt's, brackets and pulleys. http://www.partsformodelafords.com It looks like there are alot of issues and solutions that old tractors and Model A's have in common. Hope this helps Jerry
