I have been thinking of building a trailer to pull a M around and looked over a lot of trailers at the pulls last summer and most of them were 15 inch 6 ply trailer tires. I have inquired about axles and they sell five ton tandems that have hubs that take a standard 15" car rim, not sure chev or ford but think if using car tire would have to be a high load rating. I think with car tires there is also a heat rating stamped on them.
I am in Canada but should have same in U.S.
