Seems as though I recall from Taps Tips in Field and Stream years ago that in an emergency you could take the plastic thing that holds a six pack together and your trusty Zippo and melt it on. Being that most cases are emergencies...you don't know their leaking till you hit the water. I was once fishing for bass and seemed to need a black plastic worm with a green tail...had all black and all green and a buddy (Bob Trent, (RIP) took parts of each and his Zippo and married them together. I have an idea that this would work as a temporary patching material too. I personally just bought a product for that purpose from one of the fishing catalogs and don't recall it's name. But, maybe this will help someone. L8R....Fred OH
