Last 1/2 ton I owned was '65 Chevy 3 on the tree and I was a teen. Since then I have always owned 3/4 ton rigs. I like the extra safety margin it affords me. My current rig is a 1990 Chevy 1 ton, single axle 4x4, 454 cu. in., auto trans. with towing pkg. This truck is a BRUTE and I will keep it until the wheels fall off. One day would like to put a Dsl in it and swap for standard tranny. For now it will stay a gasser with auto trans. My only complaint is the weak paint job as the clear coat peeled and rig now needs a paint job. My trailer has axle brakes. PS - shirt in pic is lil' Calvin doing his thing on a Ford emblem! None the less all rigs are good, some are just better than others :) Grins from FL!!
