Gene: Had gen and old reg bench tested at local tractor/implement dealer repair shop; old reg faulty, new one purchased and installed CAREFULLY by directions in box; I have not run engine more than long enough to see ammeter needle go off the dial, then shut down; retired auto mech friend of family coming this AM to do his thing. All connections from reg to gen including battery wire made according to printed directions. Thanks for your reply. PC
