I have a pure bred weimaraner for over 8 years now and they are good dogs provided you have: 1) lots of room because they love to run and look around. 2) Lots of time because they love to be around people and have attention. 3) Patience because they can be destructive if they don't get enough of 1 and 2. The Germans used to call them "frau-hunds" because the wife would have to take care of them when they were not hunting to keep them in line.
