I am not sure on the exact measurements, but a narrow tread is a good bit narrower than a regular (wide tread) rear end, sorry bout those specifics. I can tell you that a regular/wide tread is a lot harder to haul around than a narrow tread, they are hard to get on a standard 8 ft. wide goose neck trailer. A duckbill is found on early model F20's, not your 1939. A duckbill is pretty much a regular with a cover over the steering gears to keep the weather out. These are much harder to steer than a later F20 because they still use the regular steering gears, instead of the much improved worm gear set up on the later F20's. Really one of the more common features that would make your '39 a little different would factory high speed gears, and the narrow tread. I assume that you have foot breaks, cast wheels, etc. Hope this helps, Farmerone
