I know people who haul show cars on open trailers for long distance, and they have a piece of sheet metal on the front of the trailer that comes up about 4 feet or so, and about 1 foot down each side and is sort of triangular shaped to help out with wind resistance. I hope that description makes a little sense. These cars are very expensive and a they immaculate. Seems like this keeps the stuff kicked up off the road from getting on the car. The only time I've heard of them having a problem is the cars getting wet when it rains. I assume this might work for hauling a tractor also. It could probably be fabricated pretty easily
