If a cab isn't required I know that IH 856s can be had for 4 to 6 thousand. They use basicly the same engines as the 1256-1456 but no turbo. They run about 80 to 90 hp but too much power is better then not enough. As for resale, the market it well established for them, I don't see anything knocking their price down.
