Hi David, I believe that white smoke would indicate that coolant is getting into the cylinders. Try posting a generic question related to the color of smoke from your exhaust. You will probably get quite a few responses. I have a Nuffield 3/45 that has a rough cylinder but still runs OK. My smoke is blue due to the oil bypass to the combustion chamber in that cylinder.
