YES, You are the latest victim of the infamous Ford Slip-O-Matic tractor transmission. When they go, they really go. Check the fluid level and filter first, a regular change of fluid is the most important maintenace you can give that transmission to make it live a long life. The last owners may have never changed it at all.

Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned.
