I have acub cadet ,12hp Kohler and recently found that the carb throttle shaft was very worn. This was on top side wher linkage attaches and this caused a huge air leak. It was still idling fair but hard to start, req. a lot of choking. After pricing a new carb, I removed the shaft and bored hole out for bushing. Finally back together and runs better!!JMSG: I have a 16hp. Briggs in a 1987 yr. 1606 cub cadet . My problem is it wont idle .It just kinda lopes then it dies. It will however run just fine throttled up . HELP ME. Any ideas? Thanks B.N
