I don't want to pay high costs for gas either, but our gas is a bargain compared to Europe. I spent some time in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, etc. this summer. Near as I could calculate, they are paying $4-$5+ per gallon. Of course, it is so many Euro per liter but once calculated out, pretty expensive. Did not see any large pickups (Dodges, Fords, or Chevy's there; a few small Toyotas etc., pickups). Went to a tractor show in the Netherlands, and a lot of people had driven their tractors there. Saw lots of people walking or riding bicycles. As I said, I don't want to give any more money to the oil companies than I have to, but it could be lots worse.
