I'm a GM fan through and through (good or bad, depending on who you talk to, I guess), and used the $1000 certificate toward buying my '01 truck.
I also sold the '81 GMC stepside I had for $2200 right after I bought the new one.
I'm not "brand bashing"-just saying that my GM experiences have been positive.
