I know here in europe the first Fahr combine with hydrostatic drive came out arount 1965 or 1966. These machines had two oil rotors, one for each wheel and had no tranny. They need a lot of power to move. Now the hydrostatic drives come with 3 or 4 speed transmission and need less power to work.
