By the sound of things, you probably have a nice, clean, fairly easy to mow, field. Just like the one I mowed on monday. On the second round, I hit a cut-off telephone pole, left about 8 inches out of the ground. This is in 3 foot tall weeds. BANG! Thank God for slip-clutches. I do all the bush hogging I can get at $60.00 an hour. This is for a 60 HP tractor, and a 6' mower. I stay as busy as I can handle. (I work a 40 hr job and farm too) If you do this kind of work a lot, you have to make enough to cover the liability, and the potential loss of equipment when you figure your price. I get $60 an hour, plus $35 an hour travel time. If it's close enough to home that I can just drive the tractor, with out involving the trailor, I might knock it down to $45 or $50 an hour. I live on the outskirts of a major city, and the prices are higher than "way out in the country". A lot of things play into what someone might charge you.

I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
