I've heard where FB doesn't cover 'farms' in some areas. Funny thing. Seems every insurance company is slightly different in each state. In my state, FB is very expensive, lots of members use different co for insurance..... I go to a mutual insurance copmany, they piece together my insurance from several different underwriters. As to rising rates, insurance companies rely on long-term interest & investment income to make their money. They gather little bits of money from each of us, put it in an investment somewhere, and pay out claims to fewer people in bigger amounts. Their income comes from the investments while they are holding the money for us. With the poor interest rates & poor stock market & unsettled ecconomy, there are no good investments right now. To make it up, the insurance cos have to gather more money from each of us. Add in the rediculously large claims of late, and they have to charge even more..... I'm no defender of insurance cos, actually hate the whole idea; but that's how the game works. --->Paul
