Critacal - yes. Antifreeze will spell death to bearings. Depends on where it is getting from the cooling system to the lube. Head gasket, maybe but if it has wet liners it may be the bottom seals. Other than that it could be a crack somewhere in the engine,May be, but unlikely, a leaking oil cooler line through the rad. Not enough information on tractor type/model to help further, but if you just bought it, the vendor possibly sold it for that very reason. Has it got a new head gasket on it? May be an indication of this. Or the tractor may have a particular weakness with these symptoms. Try posting with more information on the particular board. They will have more knowledge of specifics than me. Expect the worst and be relieved if is a lesser problem/cost. Regards, RAB
