Dave, It all depends on how much you are willing to spend. Ideally, I would consider going with a John Deere 2510 but that is going to cost you around 5-6K. A JD 2020 will go for around 4-5 K. After these then I would consider going with one of the ones mentioned earlier or perhaps a series IV Allis Chalmers D17. These are all over powered for your need but I believe that it is hard to be overpowered because you never know when that extra 20 HP will come in need. You usually need it when you least expect it.
