PNR, You'd think it an obvious thing to get a character referral. I did before taking my tractor in for a transmission rebuild. Got the tractor back, shifting with difficulty which I attributed to new gears. Wrong. At 22 hours it froze up. The shop promised for two weeks to come out. Then they quit returning my calls. Seems they didn't want to make good on a $5k repair. Finally, in desperation, I winched it to my shop. They forgot to torque the last three internal bolts, two of which were rolling around in the transmission. When rebuilding, including a new custom gear to replace the custom one that they couldn't find in the first place, I also found 3 roller bearings they left in from the original rebuild. No telling what took the teeth off that gear. Since then I've learned that often their repairs are fine. Just that they don't make good on mistakes. Anybody comtemplating hiring repairs at LE Woods in Fishersville, Virginia, beware.
