As likely carburation. We need more information to make a diagnosis from a distance. Does it have a good spark? If you shut it down then it may have just enough spark energy at running revs and not enough at cranking speed. Is this a distributor or mag (presumably a dist, but both systems use a coil)? Is the spark yellowish or blue? If yellowish, maybe condensor has seen better days. Is the contact gap correct, points good and timed correctly? Does it flood the carb or have a small leak on the inlet manifold? Valve clearances OK? All things, along with others, which might cause this small problem. Could just as likely be the coil.
