Thanks for asking Kurt! I was going to post the latest tomorrow. She will be released from the hospital, friday afternoon. At that time, we will get all the latest info from the doctors.
She has a drain tube in her side, at this time. They are giving her I.V.s that cause fluid to go to the effected area, and then to drain out, flushing the infection out. She is also recieving HUGE doses of anti-biotics. They did the "exploratory surgery" last saturday, then a more complete surgery on sunday night. After two major abdominal surgeries in such a short time, she is VERY sore.
The chief of surgery, at the hospital where the original (Appendix) surgery was done, has met with us. He has informed us that the hospitals insurance is picking up the cost of all the latest round of medical bills, and will meet with us at a later date to discuss a "settlement".
We haven't really thought too much about a law suit. we are going to listen to what they have to say first.
I have printed all of the messages from this board, and Sandy has read them over, and over. She was very touched by the outpouring of wishes and prayers, from folks that we didn't even know exsisted a few days earlier.
This is a time of year that we are very busy. Sandy is usually my combine operator. She'll miss out on most of that, this year. That seems to bother her more than anything. She's worried about ME.
I can't begin to tell you what it means to me personally, to have so many people, so concerned about us. It's very re-assuring to know that there are so many people pulling for us. It helps to build your faith in fellow man.
God has blessed me in so many ways. All of this has made me think about what I need to do, to "return the favor" to the world around me.
