Set a price and stick with it! $1.00 to $1.25 per loaded mile is the "going rate". If someone doesn't like it, let them find someone else. Do you suppose the people that complain about your prices will be there to help you change that blow-out? What about when it's time to buy a new truck? Insurance is expensive too. If you can't make a buck, you're better off staying home and watching RFD-TV. They have some really good shows on old tractors, and it doesn't cost near as much to watch, as it does to drive someone elses tractor accross country. My dad always told me that if everyone you price work to, takes the first offer, you're probably working too cheap. Let a few walk away.
