The biggest "problem" with quick hitch's is that they move the impliment 4"-6" back away from the tractor. That's not so bad on a BIG tractor, but on something smaller, you end up needing more wieght on the front end, plus the 3pt. lift won't always raise the impliment as easy as it did without the quick-hitch. I use one on my 4440, and 4955. They work great with big stuff. I tried one on a 2440. It didn't work out so well. My bush hog wouldn't hook up right. (The top pin wouldn't hook) My rotovator's pto shaft ended up being a little short, and several other pieces wouldn't hook up the way I would have liked. I have noticed that SOME of the quick-hitch's on the market, look a little "light" to me. The ones on my bigger tractors are John Deere OEM. The one I bought for the 2440 was an "aftermarket" item from TSC. (There might have been my problem!) Good luck, John
