Tom: The main reason for the twist would be where the tractor would have to sit. The twist will change the dirction of the pully. We use to fill two silos with AC belt driven table blower. At one barn tractor set up allowed no twist and other barn we had to twist the belt because of where the tractor had to be parked to get the correct fan direction. Belt always stayed on if tractor and blower were alighned correctly unless it rained. Then it would always fly off causing a plugged silage pipe. Hope this helps, Bill
