Fred, I think you'd better get a generater also. When they are run wide open like that, they will cook themselves. At the very least, have it tested. Something is either wrong with your battery (dead short) or you have a short circuit in the field circurity making that generator pump full bore all the time. The amp gauge should always creap back towards "0" after just a few minutes time in operation of a generator. Allan
