Remember the advice you gave me about the JD400 backhoe...just wanted to follow up I finally got around to checking it out today. I checked the pressure in the system, and it was running 2600psi...turned the pressure down at the pump and it was amazing the difference...knocking was pretty much gone, and the loader and backhoe seem to operate great. I can still hear some noise when the pump is unloaded and nothing hydraulic is operating, so I'm assuming its the coupling (actually, when I look closely, I can see the wear on the coupling between the engine and pump) Anyway, I just wanting to thank you again for the advice, and let you know that you were right on the money,Thanks again. Larry ps. I did a couple of little things with it, and boy oh boy is it fun!!! I've never operated a backhoe before, so it all new to me and what a blast!! The only thing I know is wrong is that...I don't have PARK...according to the book, if you're in a gear 1 thru 4 and go to park in the left stick, it should be in park, mine don't do that---everything else seems to be fine---any ideas on that? (not that it really matters, I'm just using it for my own home use, so I can let the bucket down or an outrigger. Anyway, thanks again.

Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
