(Kurt) "I do know now that trespassing is bad, I had no intentions on tearing up the ground with my 4-wheeler." (Me) You don't have to be "tearing the ground up" to be a trespasser! (Kurt) "The thing is I almost never ride it and on Saturday I thought I would use it for more than 10 minutes and ride across a field, I had no destruction thoughts in my mind as I rode threw, I just saw the sign and thought, Hmmmm, I guess Im trespassing." (Me) So since you now know that you are a trespasser... Does that mean you are going to obey the law and either get permission before you ever cross the other guys ground (i.e. "NOT YOURS!") again, or are you going to be like most other trespassers, and just figure the owner surely must have been thiinking about someone else... couldn't be you... right?? (Kurt) "Keep in mind that I am 35 years old, old enough to know better I suppose." (Me) Gee... my boys knew about having permission and respect for property owner's rights when they were 10. (Kurt) "And meant no harm in my question and have no intentions of using my 4-wheeler for destructive or Illigal purposes." (Me) I mean no harm or hostility in my responses to you. But you need to think about what you want ot be doing. Do you care about breaking the law? If you do then ask for permission from EVERY property owner before riding on their ground. Courtesy goes a long ways toward civility. As you can deduce from most of the hostility on this thread toward people that trespass, there is a real problem out there and if you are the one trespassing, you may be on the receiving end of the hostility. If you cross the wrong person and they come after you legally... the fine and jail time may seem a bit "inconvenient" to you! There are many property owners that would not think twice about prosecuting you or any other trespasser to the fullest extent of the law! "Respect"... that's what it's all about!

Listening to Your Tractor - by Curtis Von Fange. Years ago there was a TV show about a talking car. Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
