I would jump on it. The electrical on most older tractors is basic and as you stated most damage is cosmetic. I may be wrong but I cannot imagine an isolated outside fire getting hot enough to cause structural damage. Had it sat inside a hay barn that burned I would have second thoughts due to the extra heat. I bought my first motorcycle that had burned up and just had to rewire and replace a fuse block. Did the same thing for a Triumph Spitfire 1500.
