Well I for one if I was to mess with your gate would like to have a light to see by , ,,, JMHO, but I think a silent Alarm located at your house and barn would be much more practical ... Would not take much you could even use a set of them fm transcervers with alarm to talk mode , rig it to signal if the gate/ equipment is messed with and it can be carried with you so as long as you at within range it will alert you ... Bill g. As for power supply you already have it , just hook up to the 12v supply , (you may have to drop the voltage down to run the TR...
