Joe pretty well covered it - H-C made components for combines & other cutterbars, so I suspect you have an older combine. A picture is worth a 1000 words, if you post pictures here folks will help you right away. Lacking pictures, you need much more description - what color is your machine(s)? Size? Does it have it's own engine, or a pto shaft, or no moving parts? Is it something towed by horese or a tractor, or is it self-propelled? Do parts of it go into the ground, or does it have a sickle bar to cut, or ? And so on. You get the idea. As to value, anything sitting out in the weeds for a decade is not going to be worth more than $100, probably $10-25 for scrap iron. Face it, the machine was parked out there for a reason - couldn't be sold back then, worth less now. A few exceptions would be a tractor with good tin (blown engines & trannies can be repaired, good tin work is getting hard to find), cast iron seats from horse drawn equipment can bring $400+, a siderake, grass mower, or plow that is all there can bring you some money. Some items like that can get you $100-700. Good luck, it can be fun to track down what all the stuff is. :) --->Paul

Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
