I am trying to rewire a 1959 Ford 860. It was origionally a 6v system but has been converted to a 12v system, so it has all the right lights and battery and an alternator. But the wiring is a mess. It has been cobbled up so bad that there are wires going to nowhere or to 3 or 4 different places. I think it would be best to just rip out the old stuff and start new. My question is, is there any where i can get a wiring diagram for the 12v system? I have been advised to go with a "one wire" alternater. What kind of alternater is this? The one on the tractor now has 4 wires. One marked F, one marked R, and two that are not marked and dead end. Are these from the voltage regulator? Where do they go? Are there any good WWW sites with information? I know i can rewire it if i can get the details figured out, and hopefully get it running without spending a lot of money. Thanks for any help, I would appreciate it. Jason WV
