I think my 1530 clutch died-need help

Hi all.

Cut three fields last week with my 301A which is the industrial version of the JD1530. Ran fine

Was real cold yesterday up here. Plugged it in, warmed it up and went to cut two more fields but decided to grease and do regular maintenance after about 25 minutes of operation. As I approached the work barn I pushed in the clutch and nothing happened. Thinking the clutch was cold, I quickly got real hard on the brakes and the clutch started frying and I turned the machine off about two inches from crashing into the uprights.

The machine shifts fine when it is off, but when it is running the tranny and PTO will only grind. (it is the two stage type clutch) I cannot disconnect the engine from the tranny it appears. The clutch pedal seems to have a little less tension but that might be my imagination. The external linkage is operational and looks fine. Hy trans fliud level was low but I topped it off and still no difference.

I bought the tractor with 2500 hours from the highway dept, but don't use it all that much other than to do various cleanups around the barns as it is small and maneuverable.

Can someone help me before I have to pay someone to split the tractor for me? Is my clutch dead? Could it be the internal linkage, springs etc? What to do?
