You kind of want to match the size of the loader to the size of the tractor, plus you want to bear in mind the jobs you will be using it for. Loader manufacturers make all kinds and sizes of the beasts.

You say you've found one on an M and want to put it on a 65....should work as to size. But, what kind/model of loader is it?

Now you will have to come up with a solution for the mountings and the hydraulics. You may want to make some changes as you have live hydraulics and the M doesn't. Usually, the manufacturer of the loader can help in these respects.

I think the main thing one should be concerned with is the overall strength of the tractor....any weight put on the loader is of course, transferred to that tractor. In other words, you always want more "dog" than "tail" for any given combination of loader/tractor/task.

For an example, the older/smaller Farmalls were prone to breaking in two in the middle, but the front ends could stand the stress. This is why they are most often gusseted at the undercarriage.

The MF65 however, is built fairly tough thru it's midsection, but is weaker out in the front end and it is here that any over tasking of the tractor will show up in your case.

It all depends on what you are going to do with it, I guess.
