gets hot and quits

Farmall 140,12v battery with 6v in line resistor, new plugs,regulator good,gen. good,carb good, new points and condensor. Runs great for 10 min. until hot, sputters and quits. Won't start til cold. No spark to plugs/coil very hot(tried new coil)What next?
