silo blower

I read on one of these forums where someone converted a blower to use as a leaf blower. I don't think that it would be to diffiult to rig up a three point hitch for one but my question is, with the proper sheet metal work on the feed side could a blower develop enough suction so it could be used as a leaf vac?
