Another thing to think about is hauling. IF you are ever going to have to haul on a trailer the M is much wider and you would have to have about an 8 foot wide trailer or you would have to reverse the "dishes" and that is a b#$ch compared to the power shift wheels on the WD. A new three-point hitch for the M costs $625.00(Red Power Mag.), new three-point for WD between $300 and $400. Here is what I would do (and already did) buy both, set them both up for some type of work, get a buddy or relative, and both of you get out there and have fun! I bought a not running 1952 WD with 8 foot disc, cultivator, and 3-bottom AC plow for $900 in 2000. Bought a decent running 1948 M with a three-point hitch for $700 about a month ago. Have a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
