Raised a city boy (OKC, OK). Moms side of the family are farmers around Vernon Texas. My first time, age about 14, my uncle place me on a JD4020 and set me to sand plowing fields. I think thats what it was called. Basicly you punch a bunch of holes in the field to keep the sandy soil from blowing away. This was a big promotion from several summers of walking cotton fields and cutting the weeds down by hand with a hoe. I think I would of told him I could fly a plane blind folded to keep from doing that. I quickly learned it may be completely frim and dry on one pass and the next (20' over) your 2' deep in a wet spot throwing mud everywhere. Also learned that if you clip one wire of electric fence you pull down all 2 miles of it.
